At the end of March 2026, a five-member delegation consisting of representatives from the owner, design institute, construction company and supervision company of a Hebei water conservancy project traveled to Tongren, Guizhou, to inspect the hydraulic elevator dam renovation project undertaken by our company. The delegation went deep into the project site to learn in detail about the project construction, technological innovation and operation effect. They were deeply impressed by the advanced design and excellent performance of the project.
The Tongren Hydraulic elevator dam Project in Guizhou has a total gate length of 90 meters and a gate height of 5 meters. It is a benchmark project upgrading the original traditional flap dam section to a hydraulic elevator dam. Abandoning the disadvantages of traditional dam types, the project adopts hydraulic drive and three-hinge luffing mechanism technology, which can flexibly adjust the dam angle and accurately control the discharge flow. After renovation, the project integrates the dual core functions of flood control and hydropower generation. It can quickly lower the dam for flood discharge during flood seasons to ensure basin safety, and raise the dam to store water in dry seasons to stabilize power generation head, greatly improving the comprehensive utilization efficiency of water resources and the overall benefits of the project.
The delegation stated that the Tongren Hydraulic elevator dam Project, with its advanced technology, scientific layout and efficient operation, provides valuable experience and an excellent model for the renovation and new construction of similar water conservancy projects in Hebei. The inspection has achieved fruitful results, and both sides will further strengthen technological exchanges and cooperation to jointly promote the high-quality development of the water conservancy industry.
