On October 24, 2025, a two-member delegation from Bangladesh arrived at our company's Flap Gate production base for a one-day site visit and inspection. This visit served as a key opportunity for the Bangladeshi clients to gain an in-depth understanding of our production capabilities, technical expertise, and product quality, and represented a significant occasion to explore potential collaboration opportunities. Our team provided a systematic and detailed introduction covering the comprehensive strength of the production base, the operational status of core equipment, and the entire production process of flap gates, allowing the clients to directly experience our robust capabilities in the field of flap gate manufacturing.
The delegation first toured the extensive production facility. The base, with a total area of 15,000 square meters, demonstrates strong heavy-duty structural component manufacturing capacity, boasting a steady monthly production capacity of 1,000 tons for steel structure welding and fabrication. The base not only specializes in flap gate products but also possesses years of extensive experience in the manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and full lifecycle maintenance and overhaul of non-standard equipment and lifting equipment. It has the capability to undertake "turnkey" projects from design to operational handover. The technical team is highly qualified, comprising engineers certified to European Standards (EN), senior welders holding European Standard welding certificates, and non-destructive testing technicians certified by the China Ministry of Railways, ensuring international standards and quality consistency from the design stage through to the final manufacturing output.
Subsequently, within the production workshop, the delegation observed key mechanical processing equipment, including large boring machines, high-precision lathes, cutting saws, and edge milling machines. BIC technical personnel provided a detailed breakdown of the complete flap gate production process: The first step is material preparation and blanking, which involves preparing and cutting steel plates according to the design drawings. The second step is assembly and tack welding, where components are initially assembled into the gate form on specialized welding platforms and temporarily fixed by tack welding. The third step is quality inspection, conducting preliminary checks on dimensions and geometric tolerances of the semi-finished product after tack welding. The fourth step is the crucial surface treatment – shot blasting. This process not only removes scale and impurities from the steel surface but also, through abrasion, creates an optimal surface roughness to significantly enhance the adhesion of subsequent coatings, while simultaneously providing the dual benefits of dust removal and derusting. The fifth step is the core of long-term corrosion protection: zinc spraying and multi-layer painting. To ensure the long-term durability of the flap gates in harsh hydrological environments, the entire coating system is extremely rigorous, involving the application of three specialized coating layers, with each layer requiring two separate coats. This painting process alone takes a full two weeks to complete, embodying a pursuit of excellence in craftsmanship that maximizes the corrosion resistance, durability, and aesthetic quality of the entire gate leaf. The final step involves loading the inspected and qualified finished products onto trucks for shipment to the project site for installation.
The site visit concluded successfully in a friendly and professional atmosphere. The Bangladeshi delegation spoke highly of the advanced equipment, meticulous processes, and quality control systems at the BIC production base. Through this visit, mutual trust was enhanced, and the Bangladeshi side gained greater confidence in the production assurance for the project. Both parties expressed that this inspection has laid a more solid foundation for the next steps of deepening cooperation and accelerating project implementation, expressing shared anticipation for jointly advancing the flap gate project towards success.
